NatureVét believes in a integrative approach to veterinary care, which means treating the whole animal, not just the symptoms. We aim to address the underlying causes of health problems and promote overall wellness through proper nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Paola Mejia-Alfaro, Veterinarian and co-founder
Being a veterinarian has always been a part of who I am. My parents were both veterinarians before moving to Canada, so I grew up surrounded by a deep love and respect for animals. It was only natural that I followed the same path, graduating from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire de l’Université de Montréal in 2016.
Recently, I’ve developed a more holistic approach to veterinary care, focusing on the natural balance of the body to support long-term health. I believe that prevention is just as important as treatment, and my goal is to help pets stay happy and healthy for as long as possible. I love guiding pet owners toward natural, balanced solutions that fit their pet’s unique needs.
At home, I share my life with two wonderful dogs—a shelter rescue and a German Shepherd—as well as my cat. When I’m not caring for animals, you’ll find me reading a good book, out on a hike, or dreaming about my next travel adventure.

With over a decade of experience in customer service, management and administration, I bring my passion for organization, client care, and seamless service to NatureVét.
My love for animal wellness and a natural, preventive approach to health inspired me to co-found this mobile veterinary service alongside my business partner and lifelong friend of 25 years, Dr. Paola Mejia-Alfaro.
At NatureVét, I am your primary point of contact, ensuring your experience is smooth and stress-free. My goal is to help bring holistic veterinary care to more pet owners, making it more recognized, approachable, and easy to integrate into everyday pet health.
In my free time , I find peace in nature therapy, traveling, and spending time by the sea. I am happy to build a community that shares our values of holistic pet health and wellness, making a meaningful impact on the lives of your pets and families.
